CDS dilution calculator
Calculate milliliters per 1 liter of water
The calculator provided is a tool that allows you to calculate the results of various protocols based on a specific value called PPM (parts per million) of CDS (Stabilized Chlorine Dioxide) per 1 liter of water.
How to use the calculator:
- Enter the CDS PPM value in the “PPM” field.
- Click the "Calculate" button.
- The results for protocols C10, C15, C20 and C25 will be displayed in milliliters (ml) per 1 liter of water.
- If you want to clear the fields entered and the results obtained, click the "Clear" button.
Ready! With these simple steps you can use the calculator to obtain the desired results. Remember that this tool is useful for calculating the required amounts of CDS in different protocols based on the PPM value entered.
Dilution data
Enter the initial concentration, the desired final volume and the target concentration. The tool calculates how much original CDS and how much water correspond to the final volume.
What is it for?
It is used to reduce an already prepared CDS solution to a lower concentration. It does not calculate protocols, medical doses or the manufacture of chlorine dioxide.
- Look at the initial concentration on the label or on the result of a measurement and enter it in C1.
- Decide how much you want to get and enter that total volume in V2.
- Indicate the final concentration what you need in C2. It can never be higher than C1.
- Press Calculate dilution and read the two quantities of the result.
Scientific explanation
The calculator applies the dilution equation C1 × V1 = C2 × V2. The amount of solute is conserved and the volumes are assumed to be additive. C1 and C2 must be expressed in the same unit, here ppm.
