Units without confusion

Concentration converter

Basic explanation

What is it for?

It is used to express a concentration in another unit without changing the solution. It does not calculate how much product to mix.

  1. Enter the value you already know.
  2. Choose your source unit.
  3. Choose the destination drive.
  4. If % m/m appears, also enter the density indicated on the product sheet.

Scientific explanation

% m/v expresses grams per 100 mL; % m/m, grams per 100 g; and mg/L, mass per volume. ppm is a dimensionless ratio, so its equivalence to mg/L is a valid approximation for dilute aqueous solutions with a density close to 1 kg/L. Conversions with % m/m require the density of the solution.
